December 2nd, my dad got tickets for The Fray concert and Kelly Clarkson was also going to be there. Me and my friend Allyson were going to go together, but we both already planned on going to a party before we even found out about the concert,so she decided she didnt want to go to the concert anymore :( and i didnt want to be with anyone else so i had my dad sell the tickets and i went to the party with allyson. as much as i wanted to go to the concert, the party was really fun so i guess i didnt lose on anything. but i definitely hope i can go to a concert soon because i've never been to one.
well, i havent been on this in a while, but besides going to a party or 2 on the weekends, my life consists of studying, homework, and softball. i've had practice every day except wednesdays and fridays, and every day i have to go to my dads and study and do homework for 2 hours, and i hate it. but i get to spend alot more time with my older brother,Daniel, so i guess its not too bad :)

NOVEMBER 11,2011!!
although just about everyone in the entire world who has a blogger account is posting about it too, its 11/11/11!! it's also my sister's 8th birthday and we're going out to Cracker Barrel as a family because that's her favorite place (mainly because of the gift shop). and before that, i'm deciding to see "Jack and Jill" with Adam Sandler in theaters. My friend Olivia was supposed to have a party today, but that got canceled and moved to next friday :( so i guess today i'll just hangout with my sister (who's name is also Olivia). well, Happy Birthday Olivia, Happy Veterans Day and god bless all the soldiers risking their lives every day for us, and i'm definitely making an epic wish tonight at 11:11 for 11/11/11 because i probably won't be able to re-create this moment in a hundred years :D
Thursday, November 10th.
Did NOT feel like going to school yesterday. my throat hurt so bad that i couldnt even talk til 1:45 in the afternoon. and i dont like white days anyway....but now i have to ton of homework and tests to make up *yipee*. just one day left....*thank god*
Tuesday, November 8th, i went to work out with my dad at OMNI. usually, my dad and i don't get along too well but i decided to give it a shot, and i needed to work out anyways. we actually got along fine and we were there for over an hour. after, i was incredibly tired and sore because i already had a hard day of conditinoing for softball. by about 10pm, i was done for the day and fell right asleep.
Sunday, November 6th, I saw "footloose" with my mom. i decided to go with her cause i could tell how excited she was to see it and especially with me. about two weeks ago, she made me watch the first version with her and it wasn't too bad so i figured this one would probably be better.  I honestly ended up really liking it because it was incredibly similar to the first one, just more modern.  it sorta made me want to dance after :P Later that night i spent the day at my bestfriend, Allyson's, and we watched "17 again" together (also a great movie). after we watched "Criminal Minds" aka our favorite show, and then i had to go home and finish my homework :/ but still, it was a pretty good day :)
Saturday, November 5th, my mom and I went on an epic shopping spree! Apparently two times a year, Illinois has an event where over a hundred creativity artists make their own things and sell them to thousands who attend. My mom has been wanting to take me for the past two years and this is the one time she finally could. It was totally worth going.  The place was incredible along with the amazing things people made. It took two hours just to see everything and it was hard not to miss anything. I bought a ton of stuff and besides that, it was actually fun spending the day with my mom. awee <3
Friday, November 4th, my friends Joey and Andy had a party together at Joey's.  It wasn't much of a "party" but more of a huge get-together with at least 30 freshmen. Just being with the people you love is fun in itself, and it was pretty chill just sitting around the fire and playing bags. It started getting pretty cold, but for November, it wasn't bad. I hope someone decides to have another bonfire soon. ♥
Wednesday, November 2nd, i FINALLY got my hair dyed. I've been wanting to dye it brown for as long as I can remember and I'm so glad i got it done. although it's not straight brown, i really like it and several of my other friends agree :) its only a temporary, but i would love to get it darker in January or February. I feel like its the beginning of a new me :D
Although i haven't posted in a while, i figured i should still inform about my exciting life so here it is:

October 31, Halloween, my friend Aspyn and I dressed up as the "drop it like it's hot girl" from the sundrop commercial.  we went trick-or-treating with 8 of our other friends in Lake Hills. After about an hour, we went to my friend Logan's house and several others came and we had a party. it was also fun cause this was the only Halloween where it wasn't freezing cold or raining. although the weather was great for being just about November, apparently we're supposed to have an insane winter. that should be enjoyable..

Thursday, November 3, 2011

From October 28-30, i was in St. Louis, Missouri to play in a showcase tournament with my softball team.  In showcase tournaments, it doesn't matter if you win or lose; it just matters if a coach from a college of your favor sees you do great. With that said, we went 3 for 5, but really, it doesn't matter. Besides playing softball, we had some fun outside the dugouts. We rented a party bus to "City Museum," which really isn't a museum at all, but the biggest jungle gym i've ever encountered. It was like a 5year old's dreamland.  And maybe freshman, sophomores, and juniors aren't really supposed to play there, but we had a blast! Just being with my team for 3 days straight was fun it itself. However, we have all of November off, so for this month, I'll try to cope without them.  For a softball team, i think we have way too much fun :)
Thursday, October 27th, i went to the dentist. i wasnt nervous or anything because my dentist always says how i have perfect teeth every visit. However, although they look perfect, they're far from it. "You grind your teeth so much that they're like a 50 year olds!" he told me.  Now i have to get a mouth guard so i refrain from grinding my teeth :(  He also told me not to eat too much Halloween candy.....it's already almost gone....oops :)

ORLAND PARK CHAMPIONS 10-23-11

After playing through three international tie-breaker innings in the championship game, it was still tied 6-6 with a runner on second, two outs, and we were the visiting team.  With going into a half hour past overtime, it became pitch black outside and the stadium lights had to be turned on.  A new pitcher came in, and we weren't sure what to expect.  The first pitch flew passed our hitter and into the mitt to the sound of the umpire shouting "strike one!" in a harsh voice.  We all looked at eachother nervously with sweat dripping down our faces but still shivering at the same time.  As our whole team was cheering the batter on, she took her first swing at the ball and had just hit it foul of the left field line to the sound of our teammates, coaches, and fans going "ohhh" at the same time.  Now there were 2 outs, the count of 0-2, and this was our last chance to score.  Our batter received the sign from our 3rd base coach, twirled her bat as a routine kind-of thing, and stepped in the box.   All of our teammates were up against the fence yelling "Let's go number 23!!!!" or "You got this Katie!! Come on kid!" also along with our fans all bundled together in the bleachers shouting tremendously.  As the pitcher receives the sign from her catcher, she fumbles the ball around in her mitt to get the right pitch, and gives a grunt after she releases it.  The runner on second takes a lead off farther than usual, Katie swings as hard as she can, and makes perfect contact with the ball. it shoots into the grass in center-right field as the right and center-fielder both chase after it. the stadium erupts with screams and cheers from every person involved with our team as the runner from second base scores the game-winning run.  this might have been the most exciting day for me this year, and it was a great way to start off the season.
